Lynnette Cole

Makeup Artist & Spokesperson
Pür Minerals

This week, we’re teaming up with Pür Minerals for an all-out fashion and beauty bash at L.K. Bennett (and you’ve been watching all our Spring Beauty How-To Videos on The G&F Blog). We love Pür because not only is it a socially responsible company working to reduce its global footprint (happy belated Earth Day!), but it’s doing the equivalent for women’s skin, with healthy, nourishing ingredients. The flawless face of Pür is Lynnette Cole, a former Miss USA who, as the brand’s Director of Global Relations and Education, travels the world educating women about skincare. She exudes enthusiasm for her job, but Lynnette says she only “tip-toed” around the industry until seven years ago. She was working towards a law career when she “finally took that leap.” It’s safe to say that the beauty industry is better off now that it’s got Lynnette on its team, and we’re better off now that she’s sharing some tips and tricks with G&F for this week’s spotlight!

BEAUTY MUST-HAVES >> moisturizer: PÜR MINERALS MINERAL MOISTURE COMPLEX  and BODY BUTTER // concealer: PÜR MINERALS DISAPPEARING ACT // mascara:  PÜR MINERALS IMPACT PLUS // nail polish: OPI BUBBLE BATH and LINCOLN PARK AFTER DARK // lipstick: PÜR MINERALS  POUT PLUMPING LIP GLOSS IN PINK CRUSH

Q: Quick! Which Pür products do you always have on hand?
A: 4-in-1 Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20, 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Powder, onyx eyeliner, mascara, brow pencil, and blush.

Q: Blush can be tough. What’s your favorite shade to wear?
A: I’m currently obsessed with Polynesian Pink blush (pictured right). Nothing brings more energy and life to the face!

Q: Pür is all about “skin fitness.” What mistakes do you see women making when it comes to that?
A: Women are repeat offenders of not taking the time to care for their skin. Pür crosses this off the to-do list with its hydrating and ‘problem-solving’ skin-benefiting ingredients [like shea butter and vitamin E].

Q: Pretty! You were crowned Miss USA in 2000. What about your beauty routine has changed since then?
A: In 2000, I had the leisure time to spend an hour in front of a mirror to get ready. Now, who has that kind of time!

Q: What was your biggest takeaway from the competition?
A: Winning Miss USA was surreal, and it taught my Type A personality to adapt! But the journey leading up to Miss USA is what has had the most profound effect on my life. With preparation, focus, and discipline, anything is possible.

Q: You recently pulled out your makeup bag on G&F’s Spring Fashion & Beauty shoot? What was your favorite look?
A: My absolute favorite look from the shoot would have to be the throw back to the old Hollywood Cat Eye with the G&F modern twist from the clothes to the hair to Pür’s use of metallic plum instead of the traditional black liner. The collaboration was beautiful, flirty and fun!

Q: Knowing everything you do about beauty and makeup, are there any products you’re still searching for?
A: Hair products! My hair is hopeless.
