Now, barely a year later, she is already branching the L.A.-based brand to Chicago, with a new store opening this summer in River North—and Chicago could not be happier to have her. She’s done it in L.A., and now 24-year-old Jacqueline will show Chicago ladies exactly how to mix up their look or incorporate trendy accessories, all the while never abandoning their classically refined look. The label incorporates pieces from designers-we-love: Samantha Sleeper, Wildfox, Halston Heritage, House of Harlow; as well as vintage finds from Levi, Chanel, and more. Q: What made you choose Chicago for the second R&R outpost? (Not that we’re complaining!)
A: I chose Chicago because, as a native, I have watched the fashion scene grow into what it is now: amazing. I wanted to contribute to that with Rad & Refined.
Q: Quick, describe Chicago style in three words or less!
A: City Chic.
Q: Let’s talk beauty: how does the R&R style translate to makeup?
A: Doing a smoky eye with a nude lip—or a very light eye with a bright red lip. We like to be edgy and fun, while still remaining refined.
Q: Pretty. Who are some of your favorite designers?
A: Alexander Wang, Rag+Bone, Chanel, The Row, Opening Ceremony.
Q:What’s your splurge item?
A: Handbags!
Q: You’re a handbag lovin’, smokey eye kind of gal—How would you sum up your personal style?
A: My personal style is definitely a combination of Rad and Refined.
