Cape Cod Escape

at The Platinum Pebble

With lobster hats and grosgrain belts in tow, we ventured to Cape Cod for an East Coast bender. We took shelter at The Platinum Pebble, an 8-room inn boasting modern decor, all the important B&B amenities and the most cordial of innkeepers. And what really got us wicked excited? Dishing with the rookie owners on their new experiences as innkeepers. Mike and Stefanie Hogan always dreamed of buying a quaint getaway. And after an anniversary trip to Cape Cod left them totally smitten, they bought The Platinum Pebble with the hopes of sharing their love of the Cape to every guest. The couple tag teams hospitality duties; Mike explains his enthusiasm for his concierge role, and Stefanie found her niche as Head Chef, serving an approachable spread of breakfast treats to kickstart your Cape Cod day. The allure comes through their ‘live like a local’ mentality—serving up artful activities and experiences that keep you off the beaten path.

They may not be East Coast veterans, but their enthusiasm for the Cape is undeniably apparent. We challenged The Platinum Pebble owners to a friendly game of Cape Cod trivia. The result? Some wicked good laughs and little-known facts about this charming tourist destination.

For the long-weekenders or day-trippers, we rounded up a travel guide of some faces and places, along with an oyster-driven endeavor, that have us feeling like a local. Follow along for some serious vacation fun with places to build your perfect Cape Cod trip. >>
