Favorite piece on-site—Go!
I am obsessed with all of the Seletti pieces. Completely modern, yet not trendy. They are pieces that you can have in your home collection forever. Not to mention they are super cool and a total conversation starter for dinner parties.

We’ll tell you our fave: The “Diomira Platter”—how cool is that?!
I’m super excited to hear that you love this. It’s a personal favorite of mine. It’s meant for use as a serving piece of course, but would look awesome on a console table as a catchall, or even mounted on a wall as a decorative piece.

So who is this Citizen Stone girl?
Long story short, Citizen Stone is a fictional character that embodies impeccable style and taste. She is your go-to friend for anything you would ever need to reference when it comes to interior design, cooking, travel and beauty tips. She’s witchy woman, that Citizen Stone.

You’ve had quite a fun rise to retail stardom in Chicago—what’s your secret of success?
I think keeping it light—which is not easy!—and just continuing to move on and move forward. When Sarca closed [editor’s note: her previous store closed due to a flood February 28th], one of my friends reached out and asked me if we would be having a sale on short pants. As much as part of me wanted to slap her, the other half of me appreciated her attempt to make me laugh. At the end of the day, it’s all about hard work, knowing your market, and making changes when you feel they are right.

Any brands you have your eyes for future buys?
I would love to add Kelly Wearstler and RabLabs to the home collection. I’m fairly certain G&F would die over RabLabs. We’ll continue to grow our Beauty selections—we’re bringing in La Bella Figure, Shamanuti, Tata Harper, Londontown and a few others. Ultimately, I’d love to incorporate larger furnishing pieces into the mix as well.

Spring is springing, or so it feels…. What are you dying to pull out of your closet to wear?
Is it just me, or did anyone else feel like last summer was not that warm? I feel like I haven’t worn a dress in forever, so I’m looking forward to that. I’m a sucker for almost any maxi skirt or maxi dress. I don’t like tights so I stick to pants when it’s cold.

And on the flip side… what can’t you wait to get rid of?
Basically, all outerwear! I live on the lake front so when the wind blasts my face at 90mph at -30 degree temps, I’m pretty much over feeling like I just got slapped in the face and could barf at any moment. Over iiiittttttt! #dramatic.
