PARTY: Swarovski Window Installation with SAIC and Nick Cave
VENUE: Swarovski | 540 N. Michigan Avenue
DATE: Tuesday, April 10
THE LURE: Talk about blinged out! Swarovski invited School of the Art Institute Fashion Department chair and professor Nick Cave and a team of graduate students to create a window installation for the Michigan Avenue boutique. Swarovski donated the window space and jewelry for the installation as part of its Presenting Sponsorship for Fashion 2012 and THE WALK 2012. To celebrate the unveiling, around 130 guests (including some of our faves like Kelli Zink, Candace Jordan and Erica Strama) came out to view the dazzling, sparkling display which was inspired by Swarovski’s spring jewelry collection. We caught up with Nick at the event to pick his (very creative) brain on the process behind the project in The G&F Blog. >>
