PARTY: #GFxFreehand Lock-In
VENUE: The Freehand Chicago, 19 E. Ohio St
DATE: Tuesday, June 16th
THE LURE: An old fashioned slumber party at the city’s newest—and hottest—hotel property? Yessir! We invited a few of the city’s freshest set of socialites—from the likes of the Chicago Food Authority’s Samantha Roby to Owen and Alchemy’s Anne Owen—to a night of pure, unadulterated fun. The Freehand’s River North locale boasts the brand’s signature nomad-meets-tiki bar The Broken Shaker, where lock-in guests imbibed on signature cocktails camped out in the impeccably designed space ’til the wee hours. The front-of-house Cafe Integral served a candlelit dinner prior as well as offering a tasty selection of breakfast treats the following morning. Our favorite? The Pan Con Tomate. Hands-down. Lock-in attendees shacked up in the chic shared rooms and were greeted with a swag bag with treats from Me Undies to the “Long Weekends are for Lovers” G&F shoe bag. A late night highlight? Sarah Sands of Sin Clarity dropped by for a dreamcatcher tutorial—the perfect treat to send our crew to dreamland. >>
