THE LURE: Fashion Group International of Chicago lit up Michigan Avenue with a host of well-intentioned—and, of course, well dressed!—individuals whose dedication to the fashion and design industries is matched only by their sparkling personalities and creative drive. Meet FGI’s Night of Stars Gala. Chaired by industry powerhouse Carrie Lannon, the evening raised $25,000 for FGI’s Educational Scholarship Fund which helps aid the educations of aspiring fashion and design students in Chicago. Among the impressive 200+ guest list, Ken Downing accepted the Stargazer Fashion Oracle award for outstanding vision as Neiman Marcus’ Fashion Director as well as jewelry designer Ippolita Rostagno who accepted an award for her coveted namesake line. Nina Mariano walked home with the Stargazer Philanthropy Award for her community outreach and programming with Mariano’s grocery chain. The celebration was a night dedicated to highlight the amazing contributions of fashionable visionaries—and the money raised ensures that a new crop of talented style ambassadors can follow suit. >>
