PARTY: Emporio Armani Grand Opening

THE LURE: Unveiling the new Emporio Armani store was a big to-do. Like a really big, beautiful to-do. The two-floor, 6,000 square foot fashion den was packed with 350 people including notables like model Oleksandra Kmit, Chicago Bears Israel Idonije, filmmaker Billy Federighi and Sun-Times Splash woman-about-town Susanna Negovan. DJ White Shadow spun downstairs and Company of Thieves gave guests a live performance upstairs. Lots of exciting personalities, yes, but the sleek store, designed by Giorgio Armani and his team of architects from Milan, was the real show-stopper. With light marmorino plaster ceilings, black glass wardrobes and grey stone floors, this modern space is the new haven for understated luxury. >>
