PARTY: Costume Ball After Party
VENUE: Chicago History Museum
DATE: Friday, November 14th
THE LURE: The annual Costume Ball, hosted by the Costume Council of the Chicago History Museum, is a fête that pulls out all the stops for well-dressed patrons and friends of the organization that supports the preservation of Chicago’s rich history in fashion and costume. Very rich, indeed. To celebrate the much anticipated and dazzling exhibit Chicago Styled: Fashioning the Magnificent Mile, The Costume Council extended the ball hours past closing and had G&F invite some power players in the Chicago fashion game to get all dolled up to mix and mingle. Guests like T&J Designs’ Jennifer Worman and local fashion plate Jenn Lake danced to the Stanley Paul orchestra,  sipped speciality cocktails and got their paper dolls made by the lovable Jana Kinsman of Doodlebooth. And although we were worried about popping a tuxedo button, all attendees enjoyed way too many sweets at the Eli’s Cheesecake desert table. After all, what’s fashion without a little over indulgence?  >>
