Andrea’s trick for rich, bold color that will be more flexible for the lid? Transform a powder pigment into creamy texture using water or oil. And our favorite tip we snagged on set? For a more editorial look, add a layer of lipgloss over the finished eye to give it a poppy, wet look that will be sure to dazzle.
And the totally wearable beauty trends don’t stop there. Andrea adds that gold is always a staple during the holidays and adding anything with a metallic finish on the eyes or lips are foolproof for the holiday party circuit. Also, a quick highlighter on the tops of cheekbones is the quickest beauty pick-me-up and always the key component of finishing your look with an instant lift. It may seem predictable to gravitate toward darker colors in the cooler months, but Andrea says do it!
“I really love that my clients have been looking to try out deep purples, mauves, plums and berry lipsticks this season,” says Andrea. “I feel like winter is the perfect time to experiment with darker tones on your eyes and lips.”

This makeup guru assured us that all these looks could easily carry over into the new year, but definitely expect to see softer tones, less metallics and more pastels within beauty color palettes once spring hits. And because the holiday season is all about treating your favorite people—and yourself!—Andrea recommends gifting the irresistible feel of Artis Brushes (pictured above) and any Pat McGrath Lab Metalmorphosis Kit for the beauty junkie on your list.
