LASH TECHNIQUE:
Always curl your lashes first to accentuate the length.

Holding the wand horizontal, snuggle it into the base of your lashes and sweep up along the length of your lash. This helps to deposit more mascara at the lash base—giving more definition and ‘pop’ to the eye. Apply several coats to achieve our models look.

Tip: For a more natural look: wipe off any excess mascara from the wand onto a paper towel before applying. This prevents clumping and will give you an extra fringy lash.

EYE SHADOW TECHNIQUE:
Sweep the purple shadow (Mac Parfait Amor) all over your eye lid concentrating the color on the outer corner of your eye. Apply the rose shade (Mac Cranberry) to the crease of your eye and sweep the color up and out on to your brow bone.

Tip: Rose and pink-toned shadows tend to look best on the brow bone. Avoid your eye lid unless you have darker skin. And keep the blush and lips minimal to really pop your eyes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Waterproof Mascara in Majorelle Blue // MAC Eye Shadow in Parfait Amour and Cranberry // BUDGET EYE SHADOW CHOICE: Cover Girl Eye Enhancers Eye Shadow in Blossom 257

Highlighting skin technique:
Using your fingers strategically apply NARS Copacabana to the tops of your cheeks bones, down the bridge of your nose, and along the edge of your cupids bow—this technique is amazing for making your lips look fuller!

Tip: For bronzed skin try NARS Maldives and for darker skin tones highlight with NARS South Beach. These make fantastic eye shadows too!

And another Red Lip Tip: Highlighting the skin is important to balance the strong red lip and to give a more modern feel to the look.

Lipstick Technique:
Apply lip color out of the tube for a highly pigmented color. Then further define your lip line with a lip brush—just dip into the lip color and trace the tip of the brush along your entire lip line.

Tip: For a barely there stain, apply the lipstick with your fingers. Press onto your lips with a dab on your finger.

EYELINER TECHNIQUE
Using the Laura Mercier Angled Eyeliner Brush, apply the creme liner to your upper lash line making the line thicker towards the outer corner of your eye. Flick the line up a bit at the outermost corner of your eye to create the cat eye.

Tip: High quality pointy q-tips and oil-free eye makeup remover are indispensable for getting a crisp line to your liner and cleaning up any smudges!

EYESHADOW TECHNIQUE
Apply the lighter shadow (we used Mac Stars ‘N’ Rockets) all over your eyelid and up to your brow bone. Shape your eye with the darker pink (our favorite? Mac Plum Dressing) by applying to the crease of your eye and to the outer 3/4 of your lid.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Laura Mercier Angled Eyeliner Brush // Laura Mercier Creme Eyeliner in Violet // MAC Eye Shadow in Stars N’ Rockets and Plum Dressing
