Dec 4, 2012 >> Color Craze! Spring wedding palettes revealed
Any wedding planner knows—trend overload can sometimes be detrimental to a young bride’s mission in planning the perfect day. With so many trims and colors and textures, you may need to call in an expert.
Enter Katie Jackson-Meara, the bubbly tastemaker behind So Dressed Up, an event planning and styling company in Chicago. At our PJ’s at the Park Hyatt event recently, we asked Katie a very simple question: What are your favorite color combinations for Spring events? The result in asking? Well, we don’t want to spoil the fun. Take a look at Katie’s lovely inspiration boards with links to where she finds the lovely below.
Blush is a favorite in the bridal world. It’s feminine and romantic, soft and sweet. For a new take this Spring, pair it with gold—another personal passion—to add some serious style and glam to your wedding day.

GOLD RIMMED GLASSES
PLACE CARDS >> I’m pretty sure there could not possibly be a more beautiful and lovely way to seat your guests. I love, love, love the idea of escort cards on a full bed of fluffy, lush Spring blooms.
METALLIC FOIL LETTERPRESS INVITATIONS
DANA REBECCA ROSE GOLD, DIAMOND & PINK QUARTZ EARRINGS
LAZARA SPRING 2013 GOWN >> Obsessed would be a real understatement for this fab fock. For the bride brave enough to wear color, this ball gown is stunning. The color is soft enough to still feel bridal, the shape is so timeless, and the embellished belt is amazing. I absolutely love something that’s unique and classic all at the same time and (not-so) secretly wish I could get married again to wear this. Home run, Lazaro. Lazaro is available at the Bridal Salon at Macy’s, 312.781.3545.
I’ve had a long time love for the color mint. It’s clean and fresh, calming and gorgeous. Paired with tan, it is such a perfect look for Spring that ladies and gents alike will enjoy. I can’t get enough. I’m already dreaming of khaki suits and peonies.

Grey is my signature color. I just adore it. It’s timeless and classic, chic and striking, seasonless and versatile. For Spring, I love to pair it with white and a little bit of sparkle for a light and lovely look. Bonus: This color combo is one you’ll still love when you walk down memory lane in thirty years.
