We had to ask Michelle Pretekin, owner of Fit Girl Studio and this week’s Spotlight, how she balances a busy schedule and healthy eating. And of course, she had an answer. Three words: Breakfast. Power. Waffles. Here’s what she had to say:

Even if I’m running out of the door at 5:30am to teach an early morning spin class, I never skip breakfast.  A healthy breakfast is essential getting the most of out your day.  Without breakfast it’s impossible to: get your best workout, be in your greatest mood, make healthier decisions, and jump start your metabolism.  If I’m short on time, every morning I whip up my favorite breakfast power waffles.
